ABOUT US


Clown Me In is a theatre company founded by Sabine Choucair of Lebanon and Gabriela Munoz of Mexico. Through interactive workshops and performances, the company uses clowning to spread laughter and provide relief to disadvantaged communities while exploring human vulnerabilities and providing individuals a way to accept them. Clown Me In has has worked in communities around the world, including in Mexico, Lebanon, India, Brazil, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Greece and the United Kingdom and with Palestinian refugees.

SABINE CHOUCAIR (LEBANON) has a BA in Theatre from the Lebanese University and studied at The International School of Performing Arts (LISPA) and Desmond Jones School of Mime in London.She is also certified in social therapy from the East Side Institute in New York.   She is an active member of the international companies ¨Theatre Amoeba¨ and "Infectious Theatre", Clowns Without Borders USA and co-founder of Clown Me In www.clownmein.com. Sabine is the managing director of Beirut Cinema Days Arab film festival and the artistic director of the street theatre Caravan project. 

She has done theater, storytelling and group therapy projects around the world with drug addicts, marginalized communities, refugees and youth living in difficult situations. She  worked in countries including Lebanon, Morocco, Jordan, Dubai, the United Kingdom, Mexico, The United States, Brazil, India, Cyprus, and Cameroon. 




GABRIELA MUÑOZ (MEXICO)
Gabriela has a variety of experience in theatre, circus and opera. She finished her studies at the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA).She has a strong interest in working with marginalized communities, as much as with performers around the world.
She has performed her most recent creation (Perhaps, perhaps, quizás...) at the NY Clown Theatre Festival and in Mexico City as a means of spreading the concept of contemporary circus in Mexico and in collaboration with Cirko de Mente.

Sara Berjawi 
studied Theater, TV and Cinema at the Lebanese University. She has been involved in several theatrical projects over the past 7 years, including several street theatre, improvisation, and social theater performances. Sara has been part of the Clown Me In group since February 2014, and has participated in several street interventions. 







Layal Ghanem 
has a BA in acting and in fine arts from the Lebanese University. She has participated in several mime, Biomechanics, the Alexander technique, clowning, storytelling, African drumming, and street performance workshops. She has performed in several productions on stage, on screen and in the streets. She has been teaching and coaching children actors since 2003














Dima Nashawi
is an experimental artist and social activist. she has experience in clowning, illustration, animation and painting on glass in addition to her long experience in social work and activism. 







Abir Fakhry 
is an architect. She has been a member of Clown Me In since February 2014, participating in street interventions and festivals with the troupe. Abir does weekly Dr clown visits with the group Wile the Clown and is specialised in making cardboard stars and hearts.


















Walid Saliba 
Film and Theater graduate from the Lebanese American University, working as a freelance Art Director. Juggling between Media and Theater ,he has been involved in various productions and performances. Also active in social work and training. Clowning since 2009 















Fadwa Annous 
She's a special educator - Works with Children with special needs. She has been part of several street clown interventions. Fadwa's goal in life is to live whole having fun
